Since the Louvre had very poor information about the internal visitor flows, the main aim of this project was to provide the museum with empirical data on visitor trends next to some key places and art works.
The museum hired 8 Bitcarrier sensors and the LiftLab experience in data analysis to obtain accurate information regarding routes, parking times, travel times and visitors’ flows.
The analysis of the data captured, gave the museum some reliable indicators and diagnostic tools to be used to improve its management system and avoid conditions of hyper-congestion.
Thanks to this project Bitcarrier was able to develop the latest and most sophisticated version of Pathsolver, its solution for monitoring pedestrian flow. (February-September 2010 / Paris, France)
