Introduction
In Bitcarrier we believe that working together with partners with strong technical capabilities, analytical skills or visionary approaches to traffic and mobility issues is essential in our continuous drive for innovation and excellence. This is why we collaborate with universities, researchers, companies and institutions.
Bitcarrier disembarked its technology in New York City cooperating with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and its Senseable City Lab in a project to monitor and assess the economic impact of an art installation in the Big Apple: The New York City Waterfalls.
In a world in constant evolution, the visionary point of view of Lift Lab is essential for us to better understand in which direction we must head and why. We have cooperated alongside its team in projects such as monitoring visitors’ influx at the Louvre Museum in Paris, the BCN Antz project where we monitored pedestrians in the city centre and the New York City Waterfalls project with MIT and NYC Council.
In the above-mentioned projects, the Lift Lab professionals’ analytical skills and our technological skills were an excellent combination, and this is why we keep on working together in different R&D projects.
To be an active key element of the R&D conducted in our sector is a must for us and we actually enjoy it.
Regarding the Center for the Innovation of Transportation (CENIT), a center depending of the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC), we actively cooperate with its team by providing our knowledge and experience in the ITS sector together with specific data generated by our sensors and with new potential lines of development.
Bitcarrier tackles the issues from an objective empirical and present point of view and the CENIT team conducts research and develops theories and applicable models. Therefore, we always try to reach the best solutions so that traffic control is more functional and productive.
Our team can proudly claim its participation in a project with the Louvre Museum of Paris and that Bitcarrier is today patron of one of the best art galleries in the world. The museum hired us and Lift Lab to understand the flows of visitors filling its halls every day. Our technology provided the museum with information regarding routes, parking times, travel times and visitors’ influx.
Fortunately, we personally met the Gioconda and the Venus of Milo while we placed our sensors specially customized to fit in the museum halls. That was an unforgettable experience for us!
Adding value by collaborating with the best in their field.
